The new forbidden F Word
As I gratefully escaped the Covid psychosis of Canada to find refuge in southwest Florida some months ago, I have had the luxury of more than just beautiful weather.
Florida is one of the few places - in the world it seems - where freedom is a priority. I have been living a life that is almost like the BC era, as in Before Coronavirus. No restrictions, no limitations, no fear. For many people this is a distant memory and something that likely will never return.
I am in a wide open gym every day, on tennis courts, at the ocean and in restaurants. Remember what eating in a restaurant was like? Yes, people wear masks in grocery stores and most shops, but there is no law mandating it. Does anyone remember the days before Government was in the habit of dictating every aspect of life for its people?
People here, for the most part, use common sense hygiene. Remember that?
Interestingly, if you look at the numbers, the daily averages of Florida are massively better than New York or California, despite the latter two states having draconian lockdowns in place. Even compared to Canada, which is the centre of nervous Nellie lockdown psychosis, Florida is only marginally higher in numbers, despite being wide open and not having destroyed the lives of its citizens like Canada has.
When I point this out to my Canadian Covid obsessives, they simply do not respond, for I dare to question the religious dogma peddled by their overlords and ‘experts’.
Lockdowns do not work - period. They are based on politics and not science.
However, I am focussed in this entry on the effect of ending Freedom and replacing it with Fear, particularly for young people and children.
How sad it is for them. The left brings their fear, insecurity and negativity to the table constantly and insists that it be eaten by everyone.
I was lucky to grow up with a sense of hope, innocence, bright thoughts and freedom. Fear was something reserved for a scary movie.
Today, children and young people are told that they must wear a mask all the time and with no end in sight. They are told that they cannot see their friends or extended family. They are told that they cannot go to school. They are told that they are the potential cause for other peoples’ deaths just by breathing near them. They are told that they are from a country that is evil and that their history is evil. They are told that the world is ending because of ‘climate change’. They are told that human interaction is based on group identity and racial injustice. They are told that if they are white they are guilty and if they are male it is that much worse.
It is a view of life that is now on the ascendency in socio-political terms: The culture of victimization, of social engineering, of Big Brother thought cleansing us from the bottom up. It is a view of life that is based on fear. Fear of others, fear of oneself, fear of thought, fear of words, fear of freedom itself.
The surreal days are upon us now whereby if you say you support freedom of thought, speech and movement, you are labelled as ‘right wing’ and must be ‘deprogrammed’.
The new forbidden fruit of Freedom must not be tasted, nor even mentioned. The Government and the Thought police are doing their best to make people police themselves to curtail their own freedom, and that is the ultimate pity. In the old Soviet Union, people never believed the propaganda despite the harsh restrictions. In Canada especially, no police are needed because the submissive people have bought in and they willingly police their neighbours in Orwellian fashion.
This is what our unfortunate young people must somehow deal with. Who knows how ghastly their future might be because of this black view of life by the new regime? Life instead should be celebrated, lived to the fullest, appreciated for the gift it is, and without fear.
I hope that the youth of today somehow figure it out, because their elders, especially the Boomers who are desperately clinging to their power, will not.
