Pyrrhic victory no reason to celebrate

Today I return to the Covid nightmare, since Kanadians are seemingly caught permanently in the web of fear - generated of course by its totalitarian government and by its subservient press. The success of the reign of terror over the last two years is astonishing in Kanada. The rest of the world has moved on but Kanadians cling to their distance, tests, face diapers, sanitizing, testing, boosters and fear of each other. As I have said before, they are - with some exceptions, in various stages of mental illness as a society.

The cult of safety which has infected Kanada is now bearing fruit. I cannot count the number of people who have refused to discuss the exact data in the attached succinct article on the subject of cost/benefit considerations.

As I prepare with trepidation to return sooner than I wish to that dystopian country, it is worth reviewing the data in the article. Though I admit that Covid has become a religion with its multitude of Kanadian devotees, the data speaks for itself.

Humans are hard pressed to admit their total error. Hence the German problem with owning the Nazi error, the Russian problem in owning the Stalinist era etc etc.

This is why , as the data begins to emerge as in this article, you will see the timid Kanadians doubling down - ignoring the data and insisting that ‘safety’ never has too great a cost. Imagine if this logic was used to allow Hitler to achieve his goals?
